    Installation and assembly don’t require any specific wall intervention, since door panels are hooked directly on a rail that is fixed on the wall or on the ceiling. Rails can be installed by recessing them through a specific aluminium structure that allows for hiding sliding rails with an excellent aesthetic result.

    Main differences among interior sliding doors

    The interior doors that slide external to the wall represent the ideal and practical solution to close with elegance and efficiency passageways. Niches that are created from pillar ledges, columns, or chimneys can be closed thanks to the different solutions that we design. The concealing doors are recessed instead, and equipped with a specific subframe that guarantees a more minimalist aesthetic impact. In the case of this last option, some more complex wall interventions are required, since it is needed to demolish a wall, or a part of it, to recess the mechanisms needed and the door itself.

    Sliding doors external to the wall or concealing ones ?

    The first ones remain visible and slide on one side of the wall, meaning that it needs to be always free from obstructions; the concealing sliding ones, at the moment when they are opened, disappear since the door panel completely enters the wall.
    Another difference regards the wall intervention, not needed for the sliding doors external to the wall, and essential for the concealing ones, in case the wall isn’t already compatible with them. In both cases, however, this is a solution that allows for saving quite a lot of space and that offers satisfying results, even from the aesthetic point of view.

    What are the different sliding typologies

    Sliding doors can be grounded or suspended.

    Grounded sliding doors are perfect for walk-in closets, storage rooms, wardrobes, garages, kitchen pantries, or bathroom niches. They are used mainly to close and hide containing walls. Grounded means that the rail is mounted and fixed on the floor.

    Suspended sliding doors instead, are highly demanded to divide environments or also booths where you do not want to see anything on the floor, because they are hooked to the ceiling thanks to patented rails, suitable to any kind of modern or classical environment, such as houses, offices, or public spaces.

    To separate big environments such as to divide the living room and the kitchen it is advised to use glass not to obstruct the eyesight, maintaining the “open-space” atmosphere unchanged, and at the same time defining a partitioning of the spaces.

In this case, we always advise you to prefer neutral drawings for doors, but with personality at the same time. Panels that compose doors can have a perimetral aluminium profile for a clean, essential, and modern look, or they can be fully made of glass to camouflage themselves and leave all the other furniture to be the eyecatcher.

    Door finishes can be chosen to best match the space context: aluminium or painted profiles and transparent, smoke grey, or satinized glass doors to mask and, if needed, hide an environment. The less invasive and more neutral choice is the classical tailored mirror door, reflective for the walk-in closet in the sleeping area, and the satinized or transparent door panel for the living area.
